About this short drama

Story Summary

Vance Group CEO Elena is about to give birth, but while on a seaside vacation she is plotted against by her husband Adrian and her "best friend" Nadia—they drug her unconscious, throw her into a container riddled with holes, and abandon it in the open waters of the Pacific, attempting to drown her and her unborn child so they can legitimately inherit her shares and swallow the entire Vance Group. Elena comes close to death again and again, but through sheer will she keeps getting back up: plugging leaks with tape and fabric, draining water with a hose, weaving nets to catch fish and eating them raw, using strong liquor and a long needle to stitch her own festering leg wound, and finally giving birth to a daughter inside the container during a storm, naming her Hope. She does everything she can to survive, estimating ocean currents to release SOS drift bottles into the sea, enduring seven days. Meanwhile, Adrian and Nadia tighten the noose on shore: forging accident reports, tricking Charles into handing over proxy rights to the shares, secretly swapping the medication of the ailing Charles, and obtaining Elena's death certificate, then ostentatiously preparing for a wedding. But everyone believed Elena's brother Marcus, who had died in a car accident, is actually alive—only amnesiac. After regaining his memory, he has been secretly investigating, and hires a helicopter to find his drifting sister; their father Charles had also long seen through the conspiracy and feigned illness as part of the plan. On the wedding day, Elena appears with her child in a commanding entrance, Marcus removes his mask and exposes the truth on the spot, the supposedly ill Charles walks onto the stage, and Adrian breaks down. Nadia madly stabs Adrian to death and is taken away by police on the spot. Elena takes Hope from her mother's arms, and the family is finally reunited.
