Story Summary
After vanquishing the Scourge of the Undead and losing her beloved husband in the final catastrophic battle, the legendary warrior Valeria, the first Roman Empress, took her daughter, Lydia, to live in peaceful seclusion in the remote border province of Lucan, swearing to never fight again, giving up her crown too. Her former apprentice, Marcus, pleaded with her to return to the Imperial Capital but was refused.
