About this short drama
Story Summary
Avery hides her identity as the Stonewell heir for love and helps her husband Mason take a nearly bankrupt biotech company to Wall Street. On the night of her father's seventieth birthday, Mason falsely claims the company is under federal investigation and the investor has vanished, so he must flee to Canada. Avery sees through the lie, freezes his trust access, and tracks him to a Montreal estate, where he is marrying Vanessa, the company's crisis PR director—the very operator Avery brought in. Mason produces a forged electronic divorce ruling and smears her as a dangerous woman stalking her ex; Vanessa fakes a miscarriage, sends Avery to a private clinic, uses forged authorization to harvest platelets, and tries to seize her assets through psychiatric evaluation and emergency guardianship. After escaping, Avery is kidnapped to an abandoned photo studio and nearly filmed in a fake video of drug-fueled violence. At the critical moment, her father and police arrive using the biometric ring she had activated, and Mason learns his despised father-in-law is the capital power behind the company's IPO. Once exposed, Mason dumps Vanessa and begs Avery back, but she refuses. Using the forged divorce, clinic back end, studio raw footage, PR black ledger, and clinical trial data, she dismantles their plans. Vanessa betrays Mason for a lighter sentence; Mason blames her; her mother-in-law Diane joins self-media to attack Avery but is defeated by evidence. Mason receives a heavy sentence for kidnapping, grievous harm, identity fraud, medical fraud, data falsification, and obstruction of justice; Vanessa is imprisoned for conspiracy, extortion, forging medical documents, and theft. Avery takes over the family capital and establishes a charity fund helping women fight digital defamation and illegal guardianship. She finally accepts her college classmate Noah's love, but this time she will never shrink herself for anyone.
