About this short drama

Story Summary

Chloe, the heiress of the Sterling family, had been blind since childhood. Her mother, Eleanor, spent three years searching for a cornea for her. On the day she regained her sight, she witnessed her identical twin aunt, Victoria, murder her mother with a letter opener. She immediately decided to hide the fact that she could see again, continue pretending to be blind, and vowed to avenge her mother. Victoria impersonated Eleanor to take control of the estate and, in order to seize the $500 million in shares held in Chloe’s name, employed both coercion and manipulation: she confiscated Chloe’s communication devices, prodded her eyeballs with a knife tip, laced her smoothies with a lethal allergen, and force-fed her psychotropic drugs, all in a desperate attempt to turn her into a madwoman at her mercy. Chloe remained utterly still under the blade, feigning madness, while secretly mounting a counterattack step by step—she pretended to drink the allergen-laced smoothie and went into shock, using the opportunity to seek help from Julian, the lawyer her mother had entrusted to her, and escaped with Dr. Arthur’s cover, only to be captured and brought back to the estate. At the shareholders’ meeting, Victoria, posing as “Eleanor,” forced Chloe to sign the stock transfer agreement. Chloe tore up the agreement and publicly exposed her as the murderer. Shareholder Richard flew into a rage and tried to attack her, but was struck down by Jax, a thug hired by Victoria; Chloe took Harper hostage and fled, only to be cornered. Claiming her mother’s body was hidden in the estate’s freezer, she led the police there, only to find it empty—Victoria had already moved the body. Just as she was about to be silenced, Julian arrived in the nick of time with a USB drive containing hidden surveillance recordings. Faced with irrefutable evidence, Victoria’s true colors were revealed, and she was arrested on the spot. Ultimately, the police found Eleanor’s body in a cold storage facility on the outskirts of town. Victoria was charged with a capital offense, and Harper was sentenced as an accomplice. Chloe reclaimed the 500 million shares and thirty hotels, shed her pretense of blindness, and shed tears of relief before her mother’s apparition, completing her revenge and rebirth.
