Story Summary

When Xie Yunjin (the female lead) was young, she accidentally fell into the water during a palace banquet. She was saved by someone, but mistakenly believed her savior to be the one who rescued her. As a result, she married Song Huai'an. On the day of their wedding, Song Huai'an was ordered to go on a military campaign to suppress bandits, and soon after, news came that he had died in battle. Xie Yunjin became a widow. Her mother-in-law suggested that Xie Yunjin adopt her nephew, and Xie Yunjin agreed. However, she unknowingly brought a wolf into her home—the child she adopted was actually the illegitimate son of Song Huai'an and Su Jiaojiao.
