Story Summary
Five-year-old Ella only wants to be the perfect big sister. So when baby Mia burns up with fever, she climbs a stool to grab ice from the chest freezer — and the lid slams shut. Trapped in the freezing dark, she screams while her parents walk right past the kitchen, totally convinced she's sulking out of jealousy. They cut up her teddy bear, toss her favorite pancakes, and spend three days doting on Mia while Ella fights to stay alive.
