Story Summary
Stay-at-home mom discovers her husband and son obsess over a post-apocalyptic miniature they think is a portal to a parallel world, where they have a cooler wife and mother. After miscarriage, stolen assets, public humiliation by her son, and forced blood donation by her husband, she gives up. She smashes the miniature, divorces, and yields custody. She rebuilds her career; they become outcasts.
