I Gave Birth to the Pharaoh's Kittens
About this short drama
In ancient Egypt, the pharaoh executes every consort who bears him a child—because none of the babies are human. When commoner Nefei gives birth to three tiny kittens, she talks her way out by telling the king it was "trapped gas." What she doesn't know: the kittens are the bloodline of the cat goddess Bastet, and the cold pharaoh is Bastet's son—who she saved as a girl, long ago.
