Story Summary

At birth, Cathy Prescott was deemed ill-omened by the Royal Advisor. The Dowager Empress ordered her execution, to be disposed of outside the palace walls. The eunuch tasked with the deed couldn't bring himself to kill her. She was then found and taken in by a farmer, Robert Prescott, who happened to pass by.
