Story Summary
Believing she faced a zombie apocalypse, Amber leaves her last ration for husband Julian and poisons herself. As a ghost, she learns the whole siege was a staged show Julian made for his first‑love Serena. She witnesses Julian descend into madness, trap Serena, and take the same poison to die in agony where she perished. Empty‑hearted, Amber walks toward the light, wishing never to see him again.
