Ellie, an oyster seller on the streets of France, enters a marriage of convenience with Duke Antoine of Orléans. She has no idea she is the true countess who was pushed into the sea by her maid to be killed five years ago. Nor does she know her husband is being slowly poisoned. When her lost memories resurface, she wields fragrance as her blade. She heals his body, unravels his schemes, and settles her own scores. A tale of mutual redemption unfolds amid perfume-laced political intrigue.
