In 1910, Bai Su, a renowned physician from a prestigious family of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), was fatally stabbed while saving her grandson, Fu Guangbai, from a deranged patient. When she opened her eyes again, she found herself transported to the year 2025, inhabiting the body of a TCM university freshman who shared her name. Bai Su marveled at the advancements of modern medicine but was disheartened to see how many people looked down on TCM. During the freshman orientation, Fu Guangbai—now a young man in this era—suddenly collapsed from an inherited illness. Bai Su swiftly intervened with her ancestral medical techniques, saving his life. The two recognized each other, but their tearful reunion shocked everyone present. Soon, Bai Su noticed that her great-grandson Fu Mingzhe’s fiancée, Duan Meiying, was a scheming opportunist. Blinded by love, Fu Mingzhe rebelled against the family, determined to start his own business—only to fall into Duan Meiying’s trap, nearly dragging the Fu family into ruin. Meanwhile, her other great-grandson, Fu Yiran—once a high-profile celebrity—was framed by Duan Meiying, losing all his endorsements and facing crushing breach-of-contract penalties. Seizing the opportunity, Bai Su took him under her wing, teaching him discipline and responsibility. But the Duan family, collaborating with foreign interests, sought to steal the Fu family’s secret medical texts to sell to foreign powers. They launched a vicious smear campaign: Accusing the Fu family of competing for the same woman (a scandalous rumor about Bai Su and Fu Guangbai). Spreading lies that they preyed on their underage granddaughter. Fabricating a charity fraud scandal, destroying their reputation. Public outrage erupted, and the Fu family teetered on the edge of collapse. To save her family, Bai Su revealed her hidden skills—she was once a legendary gambler. She confronted the villains in a high-stakes game, outwitting them all and forcing them to pay for their crimes. Yet the final boss remained—a shadowy figure who coveted China’s TCM heritage and the Fu family’s secrets. When Bai Su’s great-granddaughter was kidnapped, she handed over the medical texts, openly admitting her true identity as a time-traveler. But the villain didn’t realize—the pages were laced with white phosphorus. The moment they took possession, the entire text burst into flames. With the Fu family’s united efforts, the mastermind was captured. Through loyalty and courage, they overcame their greatest crisis. In the end, Bai Su’s great-granddaughter vowed to carry on her legacy, ensuring that the Fu family’s ancient wisdom would never be lost again.
