Ye Feng, CFO of the Jiang Group, and his wife Jiang Ning were once a happy couple with a young daughter named Moli. Then, one year ago, five-year-old Moli was brutally murdered in their home. Ye Feng witnessed the killer — Qin Wei — commit the crime. But Qin Wei threatened to kill Jiang Ning if he told anyone. So he stayed silent. Qin Wei's younger brother, Qin Yu, took the chance to get close to Jiang Ning. An affair began. Believing Ye Feng was protecting the murderer, Jiang Ning saw it as revenge. Ye Feng was trapped between two unbearable pains: the grief of losing his daughter, and the cold misunderstanding from his wife. All while being blackmaded by the Qin siblings. He had one last mission: to protect his wife and avenge his daughter. So he secretly booked euthanasia in Switzerland, leaving himself just seven days to carry out his plan. Embedded in his chest was the broken tip of a hairpin — left behind by Qin Wei at the crime scene. It was the key piece of evidence. The one he had promised to hand over to the police. During those final seven days, Ye Feng endured endless humiliation from Qin Yu. He quietly gathered evidence against the siblings. And he stayed in contact with the police — all in secret. With help from her assistant, Jiang Ning slowly noticed Qin Yu's suspicious behavior. Piece by piece, the past came together. She finally understood Ye Feng's suffering — and why he had stayed silent all along. In the end, Ye Feng lured Qin Wei to an abandoned warehouse and exposed the truth of the murder. Jiang Ning arrived just in time. Together, they subdued Qin Yu.
