"Originally, Leon, a top lawyer with a 30-year undefeated record, died of a heart attack and found his soul transmigrated into the body of Zane, the son of a migrant worker. Struggling with his new identity at first, he gradually awakened to his conscience after facing the kindness and vulnerability of the laborers, as well as the arrogance and threats from John. Using his legal expertise, he evolved from initial indifference to fighting for justice on behalf of the workers, ultimately transforming from an unscrupulous lawyer into a guardian of righteousness. After waking up in Zane’s body, Leon faced hostility from the migrant workers he had once exploited in his past life. Learning that Zane’s father, Zheng Yi, had died due to forced construction under S Group’s boss John, he was consumed with regret for his past misdeeds and resolved to atone through Zane’s life. The workers found surveillance footage of the accident, but John and his men tried to seize it and intimidate them. Zane skillfully countered their threats. In court, Zane testified against John as a witness but faced challenges when Yan questioned his credibility and the lack of evidence. At a critical moment, Zane brought forward Old Zhang, a security guard, as a witness and presented S Group’s safety violation reports. Despite Yan’s desperate rebuttals, Zane stood his ground. With the final piece of irrefutable evidence—a USB drive—the court ruled in favor of the workers, ordering John to pay compensation. However, unwilling to accept defeat, John conspired with his men to kidnap Zane’s mother, Gina, threatening Zane into helping him win the countersuit filed by the workers. In desperation, Zane pretended to agree and became John’s defense lawyer. But in court, he turned the tables at the last moment, exposing John’s schemes and catching him off guard. The betrayal caused infighting among John’s allies, turning them against each other. In the end, justice prevailed. John not only lost the case but also faced legal consequences. Zane succeeded in securing justice for his father and the other migrant workers. "
