About this short drama
Story Summary
On the continent of Kairos, humanity won the holy war and founded the Kingdom of Holy Light. In a border village, Anne showed rare magical talent from childhood, casting fireball without training at age three. Her poor father Hugo still sent her to school. Her mother Louise, weakened after childbirth, gathered herbs to help the family but was ambushed by a goblin squad and violated, leaving her near death. Her grandfather and uncle forced Hugo to kneel and apologize before paying for treatment. Anne passed the kingdom exam and was admitted to Luminous Holy Radiance Academy, but tuition and travel costs were beyond the family. Hugo was humiliated when borrowing money from his old friend Marcus, and only thanks to Marcus's son Justin, Anne's childhood sweetheart, did he get the loan. The night she left, villagers pooled coins and goods for her journey; Anne knelt in gratitude, vowing to repay them. The king noticed her talent and invited her to join an expedition to clear the remaining demon forces on the border, promising a place in the Royal Magic Guard and the title of count if she returned alive. Anne agreed to rise above her station. For five years she could not contact her family. After hard battles she returned, received the count title, and brought her elf attendant Elarion home, hoping to fulfill her engagement to Justin. But the day she returned was Justin's wedding to Baron's daughter Sophia. With five years of silence, rumors filled the village, and her honest parents were tormented and humiliated. Witnessing their suffering, Anne resolved to make the despicable pay, and a conspiracy involving royal secrets quietly surfaced...
